A new Gamera film has been announced at New York Comic-Con, with a "proof of concept" short shown for attendees. You can see it below!

Unlike other Gamera films, it appears this one might be in full CGI. We'll see once we go from "proof of concept" to actual movie! More info here

Update 18 October, 2015: This event has ended. Look forward to more kaiju marathons from Shout Factory! For more Gamera 50th celebration, Shout Factory is doing another big marathon on October 17th, this time covering all of the classic Showa and Heisei Gamera movies! The event will be streaming on www.shoutfactorytv.com. It'll also be streamed on Pluto.tv at pluto.tv/watch/shout-factory-t… aka Channel  You can use both sites for web access, but if you want to watch the stream on your smartphones, tablets, or your TV, Pluto TV is your best best with their iOS, Android, and Amazon apps along with access on Fire TV, Fire TV Stick, Android TV devices, Chromecast and Apple Airplay.

Kaiju expert August Ragone (oh hey, we linked him earlier!) will be providing intros and there will be livetweeting with him and other fans during the event using the hashtag #Gamera. Also, hashtag participants might be in for some sweet prizes!

Thanks for the links! I didn't catch every film, but the ones I did were very enjoyable, gotta love Gamera, especially the 90s trilogy! Loved the special commentaries & info about the films Shout Factory provided before the beginning of each flick :3

P.S. I did notice the subtitles seemed to vanish at parts of the actual films for some reason "shrugs"
